Sat Oct 31

Very windy with big clouds rolling into Phonsavanh. New typhoon in Philippines which will likely hit land in S. Laos this week. Yuch.

Tue Oct 27

Too tired to do anything, can’t sleep either. I know I’ll be up at 3 am. Guess I am still jet-lagged.

Sun Oct 25

I’m awake at 3 a.m. So much for thinking I’m immune to jet lag now that I have returned home. On plus side, awake for big thunderstorm

My friends’ son’s soccer team won their game today! The kids on their team are smaller than their opponents; make up with smarts & fast feet

Still can’t sleep. Trying not to do something productive, which will prevent myself from going to sleep. Think I’m excited about going home

It’s 2 am and I can’t sleep. My body must be preparing to return to Laos, where it’s now 4 pm.

Arrived in Tacoma last night and trying to figure plan for last few days in US.

A few more days

It’s been an intense month in the US. I got sick as soon as I got here but managed to get an extension on my vacation. Went down to California and stayed with Hmong friends. Now I’m back in the Pacific NW, unable to sleep and starting to prepare for my last few days in the US.
