Glad to be back in XK, after a few days of fever and bleh. I planned to arrive here on Friday but my body wouldn’t let me. A few days of bed, then the big test this morning - dragging my roller bag to the airport. I can never justify getting a tuk-tuk to bring me just 1 km., since I do live practically next to the airport. Almost did me in, but, in contrast, the trek did make me feel...

In Hue. Lot of changes since Iwas last here in’05 Going to Hanoi today
Sitting in a lovely outdoor coffee shop, surrounded by trees. Am I really in Dong Ha, VN? Discovered a few beautiful places this trip

Should never do this -googled name of Nepali food so I could spell it right, then continued reading recipes->Craving->no ingredients->no joy
Answered my own question. The Japanese Robot restaurant: http://tinyurl.com/y8kqrz3 Hajime Restaurant, just off Rama III, Industrial Ring Rd
Anyone know where the robot restaurant in Bangkok is located? I saw it on CNN news last night. Much better to think about than Bkk protests
Enjoying the rain in Salavan. Very nice lightening display earlier as well. The land really needs the rain.
Back in Vientiane. My cats seem to think they remember me, especially when I feed them. Wow, what a month in Nepal. Take a while to adjust
